Ego: Your Greatest Asset or Your Worst Enemy? Learn to Use It for Success
The Power of Ego: How to Use It for Success Instead of Letting It Destroy You

We are all taught that the ego is not a good quality and that we must quiet it. Our parents, teachers, and older people have said, “Ego kills people”
We’ve always been told that ego is bad, but what if it’s the key to success? If you have the ego to become first in your exam, then your ego uplifts your willpower. Ego compels you to study hard. And definitely, you will be first in your exam. If you have that ego then you can beat all things that you challenge. Ego strengthens your power, willpower, capacity, and mindset.
Ego is the most important quality that everyone has by birth. But the bad influence of people, you think that you don’t have an ego. Stop seeing ego as your enemy, it’s what makes you more capable of achieving your goal.
Let’s talk about yourself, Do you ever think that to win any people or your classmates by getting more percentages or your business rivals by making more profits? If yes, then think about that time. What did you start doing from that time? Maybe you started making plans or some execution that made you win. So, how ego is your enemy? Ego lifts your action level to achieve something or beat anyone.
Now you have to know that, there are two kinds of ego;
Positive Ego
Negative Ego

Positive Ego:
Positive ego refers to the challenges you take to win or to achieve something. This is the kind of ego that I mentioned in the above paragraph. Most of the people do something to win over their competitors. You work hard.
For example: Elon Musk thinks of building a rocket that can land on the Earth and can be reused. He faced many failures, many people laughed at him. But he ignored the critics, believed in his vision, and worked relentlessly. And on the fourth attempt he succeeded.
Thomas Edison’s relentless perseverance led him to invent the light bulb after 1,000 failed attempts. His positive ego fueled his belief that failure was just a step toward success. Instead of giving up, he saw each attempt as progress. His mindset turned obstacles into opportunities, lighting the world forever.
What is wrong about adopting ego for your progress? So, be egoistic for your progress, be selfish for your career, and be selfish for your life.
Thus, try to think ego from the positive side instead of thinking from a wrong and negative point of view.
Negative Ego:
This kind of ego can ruin your life. When someone teaches you something but you ignore him, this is because of your bad ego.
So, let’s understand about negative ego in a short story:
A once-promising CEO let his negative ego blind him. Ignoring feedback, he dismissed employees’ ideas and refused to adapt. His arrogance led to poor decisions, and the company crumbled. Instead of learning from mistakes, he blamed others. His unchecked pride turned success into failure, proving ego can destroy greatness. This is how a negative ego can ruin your life.
MY POINT OF VIEWS:
“Ego is your best friend and also your best enemy”
But you have the right to choose. I suggest you choose a positive ego.
Here’s how you can harness the power of ego starting today:
Challenge yourself to do something or make self-completion with yourself.
List any one thing that you want to do but you didn’t till now. Work hard even if you face failure.
